Move HFC transport past 10G with the QuantumWave™ 25G Tunable SFP: one hot-pluggable SFP28 that tunes across 48 DWDM channels and runs at 10G or 25G on the fiber you already have.
QuantumWave 25G Tunable SFP
The QuantumWave 25G Tunable SFP is a dual mode 25G/10G C-band DWDM transceiver for the transport links behind the access layer. It carries converged interconnect traffic between the CCAP or virtualized core, aggregation, hubs, and distributed access elements such as Remote PHY and Remote MACPHY devices. Deploy at 10G today, turn on 25G when traffic demands it, and standardize one transport optic across core, hub, and node links instead of stocking racks of fixed-wavelength spares.
Dual Mode 25G/10G: Runs 25G NRZ at 25.78125 GBd or 10G NRZ at 10.3125 GBd in the same module. The step from 10G to 25G is a configuration event, not another optics swap.
48 Tunable DWDM Channels: Narrow line width C-band tunable laser covering ITU channels 16 to 63, 1527.22 to 1564.68 nm at 100 GHz spacing. One part number replaces a wavelength-specific inventory, with no re-architecture of the DWDM plan.
Reach on Existing Fiber: Up to 40 km at 25G NRZ and up to 80 km at 10G NRZ on single mode fiber, with an APD receiver and CDR with electronic dispersion compensation to hold the link budget.
Built for the Plant: Operating case temperature of -20 to 85 degrees C with -40 degrees C cold start support, under 4.5 W on a single 3.3 V supply, and a pure copper upper cover for heat dissipation.
