Dr. Thompson Lin | Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board
Dr. Lin founded AOI in February, 1997. Since that time, he has served as President and CEO. Dr. Lin received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After earning his degree, he was an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering before founding AOI. Dr. Lin has more than 10 U.S. patents and has authored more than 200 technical papers and presentations.
Dr. Stefan Murry | Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer
Dr. Murry has been with AOI since its founding in 1997. He has been responsible for sales and marketing efforts worldwide since 2000. Prior to AOI, Dr. Murry was involved in various research programs involving semiconductor lasers, including work for NASA-Johnson Space Center, the U.S. Air Force Research Lab, and the University of Houston. Dr. Murry holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Houston, and holds 11 U.S. patents. He has served as AOI’s Chief Strategy Officer since 2012 and Chief Financial Officer since 2014.
Dr. Fred Chang | Senior Vice President Optical Component Business Unit
Dr. Chang earned his Ph.D. in Electro-Optical Engineering from National Chiao-Tung University in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Before joining AOI in 2001, Dr. Chang's career included research and management positions at Hon-Hai Precision Industries, Chunghwa Telecom Research Laboratories, and the Taiwan Ministry of Transport and Communications. Dr. Chang holds 9 U.S. and Taiwanese patents.
Dr. Klaus Alex Anselm | Vice President Semiconductor Products
Dr. Anselm joined AOI in 1999, after leaving Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, where he was responsible for fundamental developments in the use of Molecular Beam Epitaxy for the manufacture of laser diodes. Dr. Anselm earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas. He holds 12 U.S. patents and has written more than 40 journal articles and conference presentations.
Shu-Hua (Joshua) Yeh | Senior Vice President Network Equipment Module Business Unit, Asia General Manager
Mr. Yeh has served as Senior Vice President of our Network Equipment Module Business Unit since November 2012. Previously, Mr. Yeh served as our General Manager of our Video Equipment Division of Global Technology Inc., our China subsidiary, since its acquisition by us in March 2006 and had served as its President and Chief Executive Officer from April 2002 until the acquisition. From May 1995 to April 2002, Mr. Yeh served as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Twoway CATV Technology Inc. Mr. Yeh received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Automatic Control Sceince from National Chung Shing University in Taiwan.
David C. Kuo | Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Kuo has served as our General Counsel since August 2013 and as our Secretary since November 2012. Previously, Mr. Kuo served as our Assistant General Counsel from May 2009 until August 2013, and as our Asia Legal Manager from January 2011 until August 2013. Mr. Kuo holds a JD from South Texas College of Law and a BBA degree in Real Estate from Baylor University.
